Divorce and separation can be one of the most stressful experiences a person can have.  Our aim is to make the process as pain free as possible.  We can help advise on the process of divorce or separation if unmarried, we can issue the proceedings if needed and explore alternatives to court.  We will assist in negotiating both financial and child arrangements.  We can also draw up any terms of agreement and advice on what is fair and reasonable and how a court would approach a dispute.  We can offer specialist advise on everything from dividing property and assets to setting up a trust to protect arrangements at the start of a relationship.

We will advise you on the process of disclosure and exchange of information and how to obtain information if the other party is not co-operating.  We can explore settlement options and advise on the fairness of any proposed arrangements as well as putting offers on the table and drawing up the deal once agreed.

We can advise in numerous areas relating to arrangements for children, from maintenance and change of name to living arrangements and access/contact.

We also offer expert advice in relation to harassment, domestic violence injunctions both issuing applications and defending applications if needed.

We will aim to give you a clear overview of the likely costs involved in providing advice, bringing your case or drafting any agreement reached.  We believe we offer a value for money service that avoids complex jargon and keeps things simple.

Legal Aid

We do not presently undertake legal aid work but we can assess if you are eligible and advise you on how to secure legal aid.  Many people assume they are eligible but are not in fact eligible so it is always worth checking.
